After being used for cleaning, rinsing off plates and dumping that last little bit of coffee out of the mugs for a few days, it can start to look pretty dingy..

That’s me right now.I’d been eyeing up some silvery Summery decor objects in stores and on TV earlier this Spring, like shells and starfish and stuff, but I didn’t pick any up because I wasn’t quite in the Summer frame of mind yet at that point.

Once I was ready to start adding some decor into my new grey living room though, I went looking for some of those silver Summery things and they were nowhere to be found!I had some of this Rustoleum Mirror Effect spray paint.on hand for another project that I’ve been trying to do for about 8 months or so and I thought I’d experiment with it a bit and see what happened.. Rust-Oleum 267727 Specialty Mirror Spray, 6-Ounce.

It’s totally not meant for this at all. You’re supposed to spray it on the back side of clear glass to create a mirror-like finish, but I thought the worst that could happen is that it would look terrible and then I would just spray some glossy white over top and everything would be fine.

It didn’t look terrible though!

It looked amazing! Now that Halloween is over with and since Canadian Thanksgiving happens in early October, the only thing left to do is get into the Christmas spirit!

Let’s start this season off right, shall we?.Today I’ll be giving away a gorgeous new American Standard bathroom faucet to one lucky Canadian reader.

I really love a good faucet. They’re like the crowning jewel of any good bathroom, but these ones are even better than just your regular faucet.
